Childcare

Y-Kids have Character

In a caring environment, kids have fun while gaining self esteem, developing respect for others, learning to be honest, accepting responsibility, and caring for those around them. They learn about being a good citizen and about caring for the community in which they live, play and go to school. Our caring and educated staff pride themselves on nurturing and developing, a child centered approach to experiential learning, and offering hands-on activities for every child. We celebrate your child's individuality and encourage them to grow as unique individuals.

Our Programs

The Learning Tree Preschool

The Learning Tree Preschool is located at the Verdugo Hills Family Branch. Our staff works towards educating the whole child with art, music, science, and cooking. Our curriculum also introduces your child to letters and numbers. Through the year our students can participate in Swim Lessons and Kindergym at NO additional cost. Ballet is available at no charge with a Facility Membership. In the summer, we take filed trips to the zoo, museums and many other fun and educational activities. We are a California state licensed facility offering year-round care for children ages 2 to 5 years old. Full and part-time care is available and your child does not need to be potty trained to join us at the Learning Tree Preschool.

Afterschool Care

Located at the Verdugo Hills Family YMCA, our afterschool program serves children from kindergarten through 6th grade. Transportation is provided from Sunland/Tujunga elementary schools to the Verdugo Hills Family YMCA. All drivers and vans are certified through the CHP and the DMV and pick-up times are designed to accommodate different school schedules.
